The students from Billinghurst Middle School attended a special assembly Friday that was held by local non-profit Think Kindness.
Brian Williams and Gary Xavier are the founders of Think Kindness and they visit schools around the country in hopes to let students know they are not alone.
“I have a wife and a child and my life is really great. And it doesn’t make sense how it is really great when I have made so many mistakes, so I think it is important to let them know they are not broken, they are not completely broken, they can always go back,” says co-founder and keynote speaker Gary Xavier
Think Kindness will be visiting 17 schools in Washoe County as well as taking the next year traveling the country to help spread their message.
“From Juno, Alaska, San Francisco, New York, and each school has a team of students with a sole purpose of inspiring kindness into their schools,” says Williams.
