Carson City Sheriff's Office (CCSO) says a Carson City man is facing multiple charges of sexual assault and lewdness with children. 

CCSO says 48-year-old Eugene Thomas Nichols Jr. was arrested in December 2019 for lewdness with a child under the age of 14. 

CCSO says additional charges were filed against Nichols Jr. after Carson City Sheriff's Office Investigations Division warned Special Enforcement Team Deputies they were applying for an arrest warrant for Nichols Jr. for two other accounts of sexual assault on a child under the age of 14. 

CCSO says while Nichols was out on bail for the previous charges when he was arrested at his home Friday, January 9, on the additional warrants. 

CCSO says there was a struggle as Nichols Jr. did not obey first commands from deputies to exit his vehicle as he was trying to leave the residence in his car.

CCSO says Nichols Jr. bail is currently set at 1-million dollars, cash only.
