CHP: Mud Covers Portion of Highway 395 Between Susanville, Reno

Crews are currently clearing away mud, rocks and other debris north of Red Rock Road on Highway 395 between Susanville and Reno. 

California Highway Patrol troopers say 800 yards of mud flowed down from the hills above. 

CHP expects to have the road fully reopened by 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. One alternating lane remains open to drivers.

Storms moved through the area earlier in the day.Â
