SPCA

From the SPCA of Northern Nevada:

For each person that summits the world’s tallest climbing wall at Basecamp Reno inside Whitney Peak Hotel, they will donate $25 to the SPCA of Northern Nevada to save homeless pets in our community. This innovative fundraising event will run Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Basecamp located on the second floor of Whitney Peak Hotel at 255 N Virginia St, Reno, NV 89501.

The climbing wall was recently recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the tallest climbing wall coming in at 164 feet. It is located right in the heart of downtown on the outside of Whitney Peak right next to the Reno Arch. The public is encouraged to come to this free event, even if they are not climbers themselves. The SPCA of Northern Nevada will be tabling the event inside Basecamp with information about adoption, low cost Spay/Neutering services, low cost vaccinations, and volunteering. They will even have adoptable pets – who knows, someone might just find their new furry family member.

The SPCA is a no-kill animal shelter. The SPCA relies solely on donations from the community and receives no government funding. The SPCA would like to thank Whitney Peak Hotel for partnering on this project. If anyone is interested in donating to the SPCA to save lives of homeless pets throughout northern Nevada, please contact them at 775-324-7773.
