Crews Rescue Injured Snowboarder On Mt. Rose Friday

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says crews rescued an injured snowboarder on Mt. Rose near Incline Lake on Friday.

Officials said the Hasty team, Search and Rescue, and a Specialized Vehicle Unit responded to help the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District with the rescue.

They said due to the steep, rugged terrain, RAVEN was called in to hoist the snowboarder to safety.

Officials said NHP closed the highway so RAVEN could land and an ambulance could take the snowboarder to the hospital.
