Sub Still Searching for Missing Plane; to be Done in Week

Officials say they are working to identify debris in Mozambique that they believe may have come from the missing Malaysia Airlines jet that vanished almost two years ago.

U.S. officials leading the investigation told CBS News that they found debris from a Boeing 777, the same type of aircraft MH370 used.

CBS News reports that the Joint Agency Coordination Center is working with officials in Malaysia and Mozambique in the investigation.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 lost communications before turning away from its destination in Beijing when it disappeared in March 2014. The 777 is believed to have crashed in the Indian Ocean. All 239 people who were on board are presumed dead.

The search has covered 46,000 square miles of ocean since crews began searching for the aircraft, but no trace of the plane has turned up.
