Deputy Howell Fundraiser Sunday at 5 Clover Ranch in Minden

You can help the family of fallen Carson City Deputy Carl Howell by attending a fundraiser this weekend in Minden.

The 10 a.m. fundraiser will be Sunday at 5 Clover Ranch, located at 3060-D U.S. Highway 395.

Proceeds will benefit Howell’s four children. 

Events will include a silent auction, sheriff’s K9 demonstrations, food, drinks and live music from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kids activities include face and pumpkin painting. 

Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt is scheduled to appear at the event.

Howell was shot and killed while responding to a domestic battery call on August 15th. 

Deputy Howell was a nine year veteran of the Carson City Sheriff's Office. He leaves behind a wife, Rachel Howell, and four small children ages 7-12 in Lyon County.
