The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has identified the woman found dead in a field off of Dresslerville Road in the Gardnerville Ranchos on Wednesday.
Deputies say 56-year-old Charlene Heaphy of Dresslerville was found dead between Muir and Riverview.
Deputies say the initial scene investigation indicates that her body was in that location for seven to ten days.
The investigation remains active and no further information can be released at this time.
