Douglas Deputies Seek Person of Interest in Attempted TV Theft Case

Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputies need your help finding a man they say tried to steal two HD TVs from a Walmart in Gardnerville last week.

Deputies say the man was dropped off by a silver Dodge pickup truck that then went around the building and parked by the emergency doors, just before 2 a.m. on August 9th.

They say the man entered the Walmart, got an empty shopping cart and watched employees. Deputies say the man then loaded two 48-inch LED HD televisions into the shopping cart and walked toward the sporting goods section.

He then ran to the emergency exit and pushed through the doors sounding the alarm. He got into the same truck and left, leaving the two televisions behind.

The man is described as approximately 30 years old, 6’ tall, 250-280 pounds with short black hair and a full beard.
