A fan is recovering after being injured during a "sumo wrestling" promotion at a Reno Aces game on Thursday.
Communications manager for the Aces, Jackson Gaskins said a female fan was injured during a "sumo wrestling" promotion that is done regularly at the Reno Aces home games.Â
Gaskins said she fell during the promotion and was lying on the field for about 15 minutes, but she was aware of her surrounding and could move all of her extremities.
REMSA responded to the incident where they treated the fan on scene. The Reno Aces say that they wish a speedy recovery for her.Â
Promotions at Aces games are for all ages, but the "sumo wrestling" promotion does require that the guest be "adult-sized" to fit into the suit. The Reno Aces have not released the age of the female.Â
The Aces say this promotion is done at most home games this season and they hadn't had an issue before. They also haven't discussed whether this promotion will continue at future games.
