There will be Fourth of July fireworks happening in the Damonte Ranch area next weekend.

Families will be able to bike, board, walk or stroll to Damonte Ranch Park for live entertainment, free ice cream, T-shirts and water.

Residents are encouraged to pack a picnic, grab a blanket and some lawn chairs.

It will be happening on Sunday, July 4 from 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Here's a schedule of events for the day:

2 p.m. Robin Street Band

4 p.m. Red Flannel Flashback

5:30 p.m. Kids decorated bike parade

6:30 p.m. Johnny and the Bail Jumpers

9:15 p.m. Fireworks display, weather permitting

Paisan's Food truck will also be onsite.

Alcohol is not allowed in City of Reno parks. There will be no parking available at Damonte Ranch Park.

Damonte Ranch Park is located at 1950 Steamboat Parkway. The City of Reno will be closing Steamboat Parkway in both directions from Horse Ranch Road to Piper Peak Lane from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. to ensure foot traffic safety. Handicap drop-off will be allowed at the park entrance. Residents should use Rio Wrangler Parkway and Carat Avenue as alternate routes.
