Our crew on scene says four people were rescued from the Truckee River on Friday night near the Lockwood Bridge off of I-80.
They said there was a car crash in the area, and bystanders who stopped for it noticed people in the water and told officers responding to the crash.
Our crew on scene says the Sparks Fire Department and Storey County Fire Department responded to the rescue.
They said the people had been in the water for about two hours.
Our crew on scene says everyone made it out safely, and one person was checked by REMSA.
The public is urged to practice river safety as the weather warms up. Residents should always wear a life jacket, dress for the water temperature, not the air temperature, and never go in the water alone.
