Trauma surgeon, restaurant owner and Gardnerville resident Dr. Fred Simon has confirmed he is running for Nevada Governor.
Simon pursued a career in medicine spanning a wide variety of practices over several decades.
“I’ve spent my entire life helping people as a trauma surgeon,” Simon said. “I’ve had success in my career as a surgeon and as a small businessman and now it’s time to give back to the state of Nevada.”
Simon has previously run for Congress for the 52nd congressional district in California as a conservative Republican.
Simon plans to run his platform on four pillars: school choice, safe cities/safe communities, health care choice and opening yucca mountain.
