Funeral Procession for Fallen Sacramento Police Officer Thursday

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) says there will be a funeral procession for fallen Sacramento Police Department officer, Tara O'Sullivan, who was killed in an officer-involved shooting on June 19.

They said a funeral motorcade will start on Thursday from Elk Grove around 8 a.m. and is expected to arrive at the Bayside Church in Roseville by 9:30 a.m.

Caltrans says the nearly 43 mile long procession will be escorted by California Highway Patrol (CHP) and is scheduled to leave the church at 1 p.m., traveling through Roseville to Elk Grove Boulevard in Elk Grove.

Drivers should expect delays between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. from southbound Highway 65 in Roseville to Highway 99 in Elk Grove.

Caltrans says during the procession, CHP will help with lane closures and the motorcade is expected to travel around 20 to 25 miles per hour.

8 a.m.-9:30 a.m.

1)    Elk Grove Blvd to NB Highway 99

2)    NB Hwy 99 to EB Business 80

3)    EB Business 80 to EB I-80

4)    EB I-80 to NB Hwy 65 and off at Stanford Ranch Road

1:30 p.m.-5 p.m.

1)    Stanford Ranch Road to SB Highway 65

2)    SB Highway 65 to WB I-80

3)    WB I-80 to the Raley Blvd./Marysville exit

4)    Raley Blvd. to Marconi Ave.

5)    Marconi Ave. to WB Business 80, to SB Highway 99, off at Elk Grove Blvd.
