Gance Fire Northwest Of Elko Fully Contained

UPDATE: The U.S. Forest Service says the 5,363-acre wildfire burning 35 miles northwest of Elko is now fully contained.  


Original Story: The fire started early Monday afternoon near the southeast corner of the Independence Range near the Gance Creek area.

There's no immediate information on if any structures are threatened. 

The cause remains under investigation. 

The fire is burning through brush and short grass.Â
