U.S. Retail Sales Up 17.7% in a Partial Rebound from Plunge

Goodwill of the Sacramento Valley and Northern Nevada partnered with Sacramento-based company, Nytch, to bring its unconventional inventory to online shoppers this season.

Goodwill is bringing Nytch to Reno and South Lake Tahoe starting on November 20.

Goodwill's inventory is traditionally challenging due to its volume, price point and distributions across dozens of locations and donation centers. Goodwill staff worked to adapt the Nytch app.

Through Nytch, shoppers can submit requests for items they seek, receive recommendations from employees at locations that have the items, and then purchase or ask to hold the items in store. Employees digitize offline inventory items at the moment shoppers want them.

For vulnerable shoppers concerned about COVID-19 safety, Goodwill and Nytch can facilitate curbside pickup through the application and ask that shoppers explain that desire in their requests.
