Hundreds of Flower Orders Underway For Valentine's Day

If you need a gift to show a special someone how you feel, Sparks Florist says it's not too late.

It says the week of Valentine's Day is its busiest time of the year, as it prepares to deliver hundreds of orders. But employees are ready to work long hours to get orders ready for its customers. Suzanne Shepherd, Sparks Florist director of internal operations said they plan months in advanced before the holiday. She also said they hired at least 40 extra drivers to make deliveries.

Shepherd says they have different arrangements that are carefully crafted by passionate and skilled designers.

"It's very much recipe design." said Shepherd. "It's definitely a skill our designers go to school, and take classes. You know they're very skilled at what they do. So it's an art form."

"We absolutely love it because it's such an artful and fun ability to be able to convey people's emotions." said Tony Fiannaca, the co-owner and design manager of Sparks Florist.

Sparks Florist is accepting delivery orders until the morning of Valentine's Day. You can also go into one of its locations to pick something up.

Sparks Florist wants to remind people to treat every day like Valentine's Day.
