Reno-Sparks Convention Center:
The Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce is going to host a community job fair this week at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16.
Nearly 100 employers will be on-hand, hoping to fill hundreds of open positions across several industries.
Employers representing hotel, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, retail, food service, construction, tech and education opportunities are looking for full-time, part-time and seasonal workers of all skill levels, from upper management to administration and recent graduates entering the workforce.
Many employers participating in the job fair have indicated they are offering dental, vision, healthcare, 401K and potential signing bonuses to new employees.
Virtual Job Event:
JobFairX will be hosting a Reno Virtual Career Fair to help job seekers displaced by COVID-19 to find a new career on Tuesday, June 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The fair is a free event for a variety of jobs, including employers like Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Marathon Petroleum, Comcast, Anthem, Dell Technologies, DuPont de Nemours and more.
Officials said there will be 25 employers and you can register for the virtual event at www.jobfairx.com.
Applicants are encouraged to upload their resume after registering so employers can have access to it. Companies may begin screening resumes prior to the event and invite applicants to visit their specific chat sessions and/or schedule interviews before, during or after the event hours.
Resort At Squaw Creek, Tahoe:
The Resort at Squaw Creek in California's Olympic Valley is hosting job fairs each weekend in June. The events will provide on-the-spot interviews for various jobs.
The resort is also offering sign-on bonuses of up to $1,000 for select positions.
The fairs will take place on Saturday, June 19 between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. and on Sunday, June 27 between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at 400 Squaw Creek Road, in the resort's Sierra Ballroom.
Validated parking will be provided to all career fair attendees.
The resort is holding the sign-on bonuses for select positions, including engineers, cooks, housekeeping, front office, reservation sales agents, spa attendants, estheticians, massage therapists and stewarding.
