A judge denied a motion to suppress evidence from a blood test from a DUI suspect from 2014.
On Friday, a motion was denied to throw out the blood test that was taken from a Nicole Cote who was accused of felony DUI crash that happened on December 19th on South Virginia Street.Â
That crash left Andrew Cohan and his friend Blaze Brucato with serious injuries.
"His injuries were so severe he's faced with a lifetime of back pain and he almost lost his life. Â That was minor compared to Blaze's situation." says Tom Cohan, Andrew Cohan's father.Â
Cote's lawyers had argued that the blood test was obtained by officers who coerced her into giving it.Â
Her trial is set to begin on Monday.
Andrew's father said he believes the facts will lead to a conviction.
