Businesses locally and around the nation are honoring veterans on November 11th. 

The US Secretary of the Interior announced veterans and Gold Star families will be granted free access for life to national parks and Federal lands managed by the Department of the Interior. 

Veterans just have to present one of their veteran identification cards to gain access. 

The Costco stores in Reno and Sparks are inviting veterans and active military to an exclusive shop hour and continental breakfast on November 14th from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. 

Other local businesses in Northern Nevada also announced deals for veterans in honor of the holiday. This includes:

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa - free breakfast or lunch buffet at Toucan Charlie's Buffet & Grille from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Eldorado Resort Casino - free breakfast or lunch at the Buffet from 7:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Gold Dust West Casino - free meal in the Grille all day 

Gold 'N Silver Inn - 20% discount from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Great Basin Brewing Co. - free pint of craft beer or soft drink from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Peppermill Resort Spa Casino - free breakfast or lunch buffet at island Buffet from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. AND one free item off the Comfort Menu in Café Milano from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
