Elizabeth Stanley is battling leukemia and saw her wish of becoming a fashion designer come to life today.

It was a very eventful morning for super star Elizabeth and her family as they arrived at Macy's Meadowood Mall for a day they'd never forget.

Everyone involved was ready to greet the family with open arms, and Elizabeth said her favorite part was, “the people.”

Elizabeth has been working on her dream fashion show design for weeks. She hand selected her models, including her grandmother, and the dresses they wore.

Her parents say planning this fashion show has helped lift her spirits on some tough days.

"When she's not feeling well or has to stay home from school. She has a really good excuse to be excited about something. So it really made a difference I think in a lot of things that she's doing,” says Erin Stanley.

"We are really proud of her and how well she has done. We have been for a long time, so this is another great example of how impressive she is and how courageous she is,” says David Stanley.

The Reno Police Department, the University of Nevada's Cheer Team, and Macy’s employees joined friends and family to cheer Elizabeth on.  All of the excitement helped keep a smile on her face.

"She's had a rough couple of weeks with her health and so this has just brought her a lot of joy and a lot of excitement. And it's just amazing that she has something to look forward to through such a tough process that she's going through,” says Erin Stanley.

Now that the young fashionista has made her debut on the runway, the next step is the Big Apple.

Elizabeth will meet with a design team in New York City to create her very own dress.
