A 28-year-old man will spend at least 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges related to human trafficking.Â
According to the Washoe County District Attorney, Saafir was exploiting multiple young women in our area - and after being arrested, tried to prevent one of the witnesses from testifying.
Khayree Ameen Saafir previously pleaded guilty to seven felonies including three counts of Pandering; two counts of Attempting to Bribe a Witness to Influence Testimony; one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, second offense; and one count of Conspiracy to Violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, second offense.
Saafir will be eligible for parole after serving eight years.Â
