The Plumas County Sheriff's Office says a man was wanted for an alleged assault with a deadly weapon was arrested on Tuesday.
Officials said 42-year-old Sean Franco of Yankee Hill, California had a warrant out for his arrest for assault with a deadly weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Allegedly, earlier in April, Franco shot and wounded his neighbor in Concow, California. Officials said he fled the scene and Butte County has been actively searching for him.
They said Plumas County Sheriff's Office was contacted by Butte County Sheriff detectives, with information that Franco was possibly residing in Plumas County. They said detectives from Butte County said he was possibly staying at the Gold Pan Motel in Quincy.
Officials said Franco's car was found in the Quincy area and he was tracked to the Gold Pan Motel. They said a search warrant was served on the hotel room Franco was staying in and his car.
Franco was arrested and booked into the Butte County jail.
