The Nevada Department of Corrections says an inmate was recaptured within minutes of escaping from the Stewart Conservation Camp in Carson City early Tuesday morning.
NDOC says 27-year-old Gregory Dale Dakota Sky Maine, Jr. broke a window, jumped through it and then ran away, at approximately 5:42 a.m. Officers saw him, and recaptured him at 5:54 a.m. in a nearby neighborhood.
Maine, Jr. was committed from Washoe County on September 30, 2016, and is serving a sentence of 24-60 months for Domestic Battery by Strangulation.
Maine suffered minor injuries.
