On Thursday night, Renown hosted Artown for the second year in a row for their concert series.

This year for the series, Artown is presenting a lineup of singers and musicians across a wide variety of genres, including southern rock, country, cumbia, afro pop, bluegrass, folk, and blues.

Specifically tonight, Ritmo Ardiente performed.

Caroline Ackerman, the manager of communications at Renown Health, told us everyone really enjoyed them last year.

"We are so excited to bring Artown back to Renown this year. This is our second year we've held Artown in Fianna Healing Garden, which is where I'm standing today. Tonight we have Ritmo Ardiente. Last year they joined us, and they had everyone off their seats dancing, and it was just a really good time."

The performance took place at the Fianna Healing Garden at Renown and was free to the public.

Ackerman also told us, "It's so meaningful for us to show our patients and employees and visitors our connection to community and to Artown. We really believe in healing arts and bringing our patients' arts at the bedside. We've had patients come out and watch the concert, and I hope that happens tonight."

She also tells us these performances are healing for the patients and their families.

"It's so special to get our patients out and their family or visitors. We've had a lot of people who've been here a long time or have family members that come and stay with them every night, and to offer them something different in their day is really meaningful."
