According to a post by AT&T on X, the company is experiencing a nationwide issue.
The issue is affecting customers attempting to complete calls between carriers. It says calls between AT&T customers are not affected.
AT&T says the carriers are working to diagnose and resolve the issue.
The Federal Communications Commission also acknowledged the issue in a separate post on X, saying it is currently investigating.
Some places, including Hanover County in Virginia, and Camden County in Georgia, have reported the issue is affecting 911 calls.
