The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner's Office has identified the bicyclist who was hit by a car on Rock Boulevard on Sunday.

43-year old Aliaksei Dziatskou of Reno was pronounced dead at the scene, and the cause of death was determined to be an accident.

An ongoing investigation is being handled by the Reno Police Department.

ORIGINAL STORY - August 25, 2024

Reno Police, REMSA, and Reno Fire were called to a crash involving a bicycle around 5:12 a.m. at 600 Rock Boulevard.

Medical personnel determined that the bicyclist died at the scene. Their identity will be released after their next of kin is notified.

The Reno Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) is now investigating it as a hit and run.
