Chain controls are being put in place in the Sierra as snow starts to fall.
Chains are required on I-80 between Truckee and Cisco for all vehicles except for those with four-wheel drive and snow tires.
These controls have been confirmed by our 2 News Nevada crew.
There are also controls in place on portions of U.S. 50, State Route 88, and State Route 89 in California.
