A fire that appears to have been started as a garbage fire was worked by crews from multiple agencies this morning in Sun Valley.
Six people and two dogs were evacuated from the home at 535 Quartz Lane out of precaution.
No injuries were reported, but one person did have an unrelated medical issue.
One person is being assessed for smoke inhalation.
Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue, REMSA and the Washoe County Sheriff's Office were all on scene.
Per TMFR, one home does have some minor damage to the exterior; the fire was kept to about a half an acre in size before being knocked down.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
