The weather is severe on Mt. Rose Hwy. A section of Mt. Rose Hwy near milemarker 11A is now closed in both directions from the Radio Tower Access road to Mt. Rose Summit Parking lot for avalanche mitigation. Drivers are being advised to use alternate routes. 

CHP says I-80 is closed in both directions from Applegate to the Stateline due to zero visibility and whiteout conditions. Officials advise against traveling up the mountain, as conditions continue to worsen.  

I-80 over Donner Summit has closed and reopened over the past several days due to snowy conditions. 

Be careful driving as roads may be icy.
