A man that had been arrested over a month ago is back in jail now after continuing to attempt to sell drugs.

On September 26, Placer County sheriffs arrested 19-year old Owen Zuniga-Medina in Richmond, CA on three felony counts related to fentanyl trafficking.

Zuniga was released under supervision, but investigators learned that he almost immediately returned to selling drugs that were finding their way into Placer County, leading to another arrest on November 7.

On November 7, Zuniga was re-arrested along with 45-year old Jessie Navarro from Richmond for supplying Placer County with fentanyl and other drugs.

The duo were in possession of one pound of fentanyl and over three pounds of methamphetamine for selling.

Placer County officials worked with the Richmond Police Department and were able to serve a search warrant at the duo's home in Richmond, where additional evidence of drug trafficking was found.

The Placer County Sheriff's Office transported Zuniga and Navarro back to Placer County, and they have been booked into the jail.

Zuniga faces six felony charges and Navarro faces five felony charges, all related to drug sales.
