California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened on Foresthill Road Saturday afternoon in Placer County.Â
CBS affiliate KOVR in Sacramento is reporting two people were killed and another was injured in the head-on crash between a Toyota Carolla and Toyota Tacoma on Lincoln Way and Foresthill Road.Â
A driver and passenger in the Corolla were killed, while a child who was in a car seat survived.Â
The driver of the Tacoma was taken to the hospital with major injuries. That driver was also arrested on suspicion of DUI.Â
Foresthill Road in closed between Lincoln Way and Old Foresthill Road.Â
CHP is advising that drivers used Old Foresthill Road to bypass the closed section of the roadway.Â
