As real people across the country are casting their votes for president today, a YouGov survey sought to determine what the ballots of fictional characters might look like this year.
The survey asked Americans how they thought 50 fictional characters from film, TV, and literature would vote in today's election.
To choose the 50 characters YouGov did another poll to find out which characters Americans are most familiar with.
In the Kamala Harris camp, most survey respondents thought characters like Spider-Man, Shaft, Barbie, Ken, Leslie Knope from "Parks and Recreation," Liz Lemon from "30 Rock," Ted Lasso, Marge Simpson, and Mr. Miyagi from "The Karate Kid" would vote blue.
Meanwhile, more respondents thought John McClane from "Die Hard," Tony Stark from "Iron Man,"Â Pete "Maverick" Mitchell from "Top Gun," Biff Tannen from "Back to the Future," Tony Soprano, The Joker, Rocky Balboa, Hank Kill and Homer Simpson would back Donald Trump.
There was also a crop of fictional characters caught somewhere in the middle, with respondents more evenly split on how they thought they might vote.
That list includes such fictional luminaries as Batman, Indiana Jones, Deadpool, Frasier Crane, Apollo Creed, Steve Rogers from "Captain America," and Marty McFly from "Back to the Future."
