34 organ donors will be honored on Donor Network West's float in the New Year's Day Rose Parade on Monday, and one of those being honored is a 20-year-old man from Carson City.
Jake Roman died tragically in a snowmobile crash in January of 2020.
Through organ donation he was able to save three lives, and also donate tissue and his corneas.
The Roman family says that though they wish Jake was still with them, they are proud his legacy will be represented in the parade.
"He just was a really great young man," said Jakes mother Susan Roman. "Super smart, super funny, and I think he would be proud to know that he saved lives."
Jake and 33 others will have fluorographs of their portraits in the parade.
It is in Pasadena on Monday and starts at 8 a.m.
