Registration for the City of Reno Senior Games opened on Monday, July 1.

The Senior Games is a popular program that promotes fitness and socialization for seniors in our area.

The games will take place from August 12 to August 30 and any senior 50 and older can participate.

There will be several events, including archery, bullseye shooting, bocce ball, bowling, wall climbing, darts and more.

There is a $40 registration fee per person, and an additional $10 to $20 fee per sport.

The fee includes a Summer Games T-shirt, a custom medal and a ticket to the catered dinner, known as the Closing Ceremony.

Financial assistance, including scholarships, is available.

If you are interested in registering, you can do so at this link.

There is also a "how to register online" resource sheet for folks who need help.

Seniors can also print a registration form and drop it off at Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center, Teglia's Paradise Park Activity Center or Neil Road Recreation Center.
