The Douglas County Sheriff's Office investigated and arrested a former staff member at China Spring Youth Camp on Thursday. She was booked for two separate crimes of sexual misconduct with children under the care, custody, and control of supervision of the Camp in violation of NRS 201.555.

The suspect, 25-year-old Daryan Benka was employed at China Spring Youth Camp as a case manager and counselor from June 2020 to October 2023. She conducted assessments and provided counseling to several juveniles who were committed to the Camp.

Benka engaged in sexual conduct with two 17-year-old boys assigned to her case load varius times during 2023.

Following her arrest, Benka was booked into the Douglas County Jail with bail set in the amount of $20,006.

Benka posted the bail on Friday.

Conditions of her release on bail inculde being supervised by the Douglas County Department of Alternative Sentencing, including a court ordered GPS ankle monitor and no contact with the victims.

Benka currently resides in Sparks, Nevada. Benka was ordered to appear in the East Fork Justice Court in Minden on January 8, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. for her initial court appearance and arraignment. Â
