A magnitude 3.3 earthquake hit about five miles east northeast of Galena High School Tuesday afternoon.
It was located east of Veterans Parkway and north of the Virginia City Highlands.
The quake hit at 4:22 p.m. according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
It is unknown if it caused any damage or injuries, but we have received calls in the newsroom from people who felt it.
