At 6:05 p.m. on October 10, the Nevada State Police responded to a crash on US50 at Churchill Mile Marker 19 in Churchill County, Nevada.
A preliminary investigation indicates that an elderly man was hit by a gold 2005 Kia Sorento when he attempted to cross the US 50.
The 69-year-old man, Mark Slover was not in a marked crosswalk.
Slover sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on-scene.Â
This marks the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol -Â Northern Command West's 38th fatal crash resulting in 44 fatalities this year.
