The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) reports that the Barrett Wildfire, located about six miles west of Winnemucca, has been fully contained and controlled as of Tuesday.
The fire burned approximately 531 acres and prompted a response from 62 fire personnel, including support from the Winnemucca Rural Volunteer Fire Department.
BLM officials said a pipeline running through the area required special precautions during firefighting efforts to ensure the safety of crews and protect infrastructure.
With containment now complete, the BLM has concluded its active fire response.
