Fire crews responded to two separate lightning-sparked fires north of Reno early Wednesday afternoon.

One of the fires started above Chimney Drive in Sun Valley around 12:45 p.m.

Firefighters say it burned a fraction of an acre and the rain helped out it out.

Reno firefighters also responded to a small fire near the TMCC campus on Dandini Boulevard.

Fire officials tell us no buildings were threatened by either fire.

No injuries were reported.
