Mt. Rose campground is now back open after the Davis Fire but it will close for the season on October 20th.
The campground, located on the summit of SR 431, will be first-come, first-serve for the remaining days it is open.
The campground costs $32 for a single, $50 for a double, and $55 for a triple sites - payable with cash or check at the campground.
Recreation.gov will not be accepting reservations.
The 5,824-acre fire started on September 7th near Davis Creek Regional Park in Washoe Valley. The cause remains under investigation, but the Washoe County Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation.
