Members of The North Lyon Firefighters Association are upset after they say the current fire chief kicked out their union president from a board of directors meeting.
In a video, Association President Joseph Mendoza can be seen being told to leave by Fire Chief Jason Nicholl because he is suspended from district property and is trespassing.
Mendoza argued it was a public meeting.
Mendoza has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit , claiming North Lyon County Fire Protection District board members accused him of misconduct without any evidence and then voted to terminate him on the alleged misconduct.
According to his lawsuit a conflict with Chief Nicholl led to Nicholl being removed from the chain of command.
Later Mendoza himself was accused of misconduct and was fired at the end of August.
