John Ascuaga's ranch in Carson Valley has sold for $18 million - $3 million over the original price.
Chase International announced the sale on Wednesday.
The 1,230-acre working Jack Valley Ranch dates back to 1860.
Ascuaga bought the Nugget from founder Dick Graves in 1960 and operated it for the next 53 years.
Ascuaga died in 2021 at age 96.
The current Nugget Resort Casino is owned by Century Casinos.

Chase International says the historic Jacks Valley Ranch is going on the open market for the first time.
The 1,230-acre working ranch dates back to 1860 and has four homes, barns and garages, 737 acres of irrigated pastures, six acres of ponds and wetlands, 377 acres of mixed conifer forest, and 111 acres of sage and bitterbrush.
Ascuaga died in 2021 at age 96.

Chase International says over the years, Jacks Valley Ranch has been owned several notable people including Richard Kirman, the 7th Governor of Nevada and Max Fleischmann, philanthropist known for the Fleischmann Planetarium.
