Kaiser Permanente held a ribbon cutting and tour for their new clinic in Sparks.
The new clinic is located on Ion Drive and is one of three in the state.
Kaiser Permanente is a national organization with the goal of creating high-quality, affordable health care for the community.
Trish Rodriguez, Regional President for Kaiser Permanente Nevada, "We do that through our value-based care initiatives, creating integrated care and coverage for our members. In that way we can add backing to the market and affordability and create great outcomes for our members."
The clinic can have up to 10 providers to deliver care while improving the access for patients in Nevada.
Rodriguez says, "I think what's exciting is with our partnership with Renown Health, they will be giving all the specialty care, hospital care, rehab, and home health, so it really is a great partnership with Renown."
She adds, "I've been with Kaiser a long time, 35 years, and this is one of the most exciting times. The fact that we can expand and grow and partner with Renown Health to create health care opportunities in Northern Nevada is just the pinnacle; it's awesome."
