Narcan Box Dedication

A Reno mother dedicated a new Narcan box to her son this Mother's Day.

Jake Riggs passed away on December 1, 2022.

In his memory, his mother dedicated a Narcan box to him. 

The box, provided by Wake Up Nevada, is located outside of Ridge House at 900 West 1st Street and is open to the public.

People can get lifesaving doses of Narcan 24/7 while staying anonymous. You also don't need to interact with another person to receive the Narcan.

Jake's mother hopes the dedication will help shed light on the opioid crisis and encourage harm reduction.
