A bear was caught on camera on Tuesday in the Galena Forest area.
BearWise says some bears start leaving their dens around this time of year, either permanently or just for a short while before going back to sleep.
Officials recommend bear-resistant garbage containers, taking down bird feeders, and not leaving any food, liquids, or empty wrappers and bottles in your car to keep bears away.
