The upcoming Biggest Little Fall Refresh events are offering residents a way to get rid of unwanted, bulky residential waste in Reno.
According to the City of Reno, people can attend any of the community cleanups throughout the city and clear out unwanted items, with some limitations.
Only bulky residential waste can be accepted this fall. Hazardous and e-waste will not be accepted.
Once the bins are full, no additional items will be accepted, so people are encouraged to arrive early at the site.
Upcoming dates for various sites:
- Brown Elementary School on Saturday, October 4, 9 a.m. through 12 p.m.
- Wooster High School on Saturday, October 11, 9 a.m. through 12 p.m.
- Melton Elementary School on Saturday, October 18, 2025, 9 a.m. through 12 p.m.
- Reno High School on Saturday, October 25, 9 a.m. through 12 p.m.
- Traner Middle School on Saturday, November 15, 9 a.m. through 12 p.m.
The event sites will open at 9 a.m. through 12 p.m. or until the bins are full.
City officials recommend referring to the Waste Management website for a full list of materials not allowed in the roll-off dumpsters at these events.
