Caltrans road work

Caltrans is advising motorists of several construction projects within the Lake Tahoe Basin this week.

Along State Route 267, a crack-sealing operation is scheduled in the Northstar/Martis Creek area with one-way traffic control in effect from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 6 through Wednesday, July 8.

Along State Route 89, preparation work for a pavement rehabilitation project is scheduled with one-way traffic control in effect from 7 a.m. Monday, July 6 through 7 p.m. Friday, July 10 between the Nevada/Placer County line in Truckee and Alpine Meadows Road.

In El Dorado County, pavement striping operations are scheduled on State Route 89 with one-way traffic control in effect between the Alpine/El Dorado County line and the U.S. Highway 50 junction in Meyers from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 7 through Friday, July 10.

A broadband project on SR 89 along the West Shore will result in one-way traffic controls in effect at the following locations/dates/times:

  • Monday, July 6 through Thursday, July 9 from 6 p.m. until 10 a.m. between the El Dorado/Placer County line and the State Route 28 junction in Tahoe City. Work is also scheduled from 6 p.m. Thursday, July 9 until 7 a.m. Friday, July 10.
  • Tuesday, July 7 through Friday, July 10 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. between Meeks Bay and the Placer/El Dorado County line.

Motorists could encounter delays of up to 20 minutes at each location.Â
