Emergency personnel rushed to the scene Friday morning after a car crashed into a room at a motel on South Virginia Street and Plumb Lane.

According to the Reno Fire Department, the crash was reported at 11:37 a.m., and crews arrived to find a car had struck an occupied room at The Point at Midtown motel located at 1901 S. Virginia St.

The room was being occupied by one person at the time, while the car held two occupants.

All three of the people involved were evaluated for injuries at the scene, and transported to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.  

Authorities have not confirmed whether speed or impairment were contributing factors in the crash.

Reno Fire, REMSA, and the Reno Police Department responded, and crews expect to have the area cleared within the hour.

Officials are still assessing whether the structural integrity of the building has been affected.
