The Carson City Fire Department has announced the start of open burning, effective November 15th to December 21st, weather permitting. 

The open burn period is intended to give residents a chance to get rid of collected yard debris and weeds. 

In order to ensure everyone's safety, the CCFD will require a burn permit.

Permits are available now and can be obtained online. 

Click on the notice for Open Burn; it will take you to a form you need to print and have on your person when burning. Permits will no longer be available at the administrative office on a walk-in basis.

If you have an excess of weeds and yard debris, the Carson City open burn period begins.
